George Kittle’s 101-Year-Old Grandma Lucky Still Sends Postgame Texts to 49ers Star

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle has a special bond with his 101-year-old grandmother, Lucky.

She has sometimes attended Kittle’s games, so reporters asked the tight end if she would be in the stadium for the 49ers’ NFC divisional round game vs. the Green Bay Packers on Saturday.

He wasn’t sure if Lucky would make an appearance, but one thing was for certain: he knows she’ll send him a text after the game, something she does each matchup.

“She always shoots me a text, like ‘Hey, good job,’” Kittle said, via 95.7 The Game. “She watches every game, so just the fact that I have a 101-year-old grandma who still watches everything that I do, it’s pretty special.”

The reporters speaking with Kittle were shocked that his 101-year-old grandmother could still text, to which he replied with the fact that she only stopped driving a year ago.

“The things you can do in small town Iowa,” Kittle said while laughing.
