The View is back, baby. After taking a few days off for the impeachment hearings, The View returned in full force on Thursday morning, and the panel had plenty to discuss. Meghan McCain and Joy Behar once again squared off during a discussion about Gordon Sondland’s Wednesday’s testimony, with the conservative co-host insisting that those who think the impeachment proceedings are “locked and loaded” to remove President Trump from office “are naive.” When Behar pushed back, insisting that Rudy Giuliani & Co. should be subpoenaed, things got heated. “You’re not listening to what I’m saying!” yelled McCain across the table.

After two days of hearings and one Democratic debate, the women of The View had plenty to talk about on Thursday morning, and they didn’t hold back. When Behar, filling in for regular moderator Whoopi Goldberg, asked the panel if Trump is starting to get nervous, the panel was split. While Sunny Hostin said that Trump “appeared to be coming undone” in a Wednesday press conference, Abby Huntsman insisted that he isn’t, as “90% of Republicans still support this president,” and they likely will “until you can point to a crime that the president committed.”

“Baloney!” replied Behar. “They’re in a cult.” After some back-and-forth, McCain finally got a chance to jump in. “We can’t get too sucked into the Beltway and the media circles. He’s very popular in a lot of places in America,” she said. “What I saw last night on the debate stage is not going to be good enough to beat him.” McCain went on to say that people who think “this impeachment hearing and everything with Sondland” will ultimately remove Trump from office are incorrect. “If you think this is enough to have it locked and loaded, you are naive,” said the conservative firebrand.

Behar interrupted to say that she’d like to see “Giuliani, Mulvaney, Bolton, and Pompeo” answer their subpoenas to appear before Congress, but McCain wouldn’t have it. “You’re not listening to what I’m saying!” shouted McCain. “I am listening to you!” replied Behar.

“You’re not listening!” fired back McCain. “Do you know what matters? The electoral college, which is what you all should be focusing on right now, and you’re not.”

“Which was created to save slave states!” said Behar before she threw the show to commercial. As the cameras pulled back, McCain rolled her eyes, saying, “Oh, for god’s sake.”

After the commercial break, McCain and Behar addressed the dust-up. “Meghan and I [were] still arguing during the break,” said Behar with a laugh. McCain agreed, but insisted that there’s no bad blood between them — even though she has yet to receive a coveted lasagna from her co-host (this is a long-running joke between them). “I’ll give you a lasagna when you give me your guns. How’s that?” said Behar, earning a round of applause from the audience. Even McCain admitted it was a good burn, asking, “Where’s the bell?”
