PA Enters Next Phase Of Vaccine Rollout: Here's Who's Eligible

PENNSYLVANIA — Pennsylvania has opened up vaccine eligibility to the 1C group as of Monday, April 12. The general public is next.

It's part of an accelerated timeline that was announced after the state said that all of the 1A group would be at least scheduled for a vaccine appointment by the end of March. Increased shipments were guaranteed from the federal government, allowing the state to promise vaccine providers there would be availability into the future.

Like 1B, Phase 1C includes other essential workers. Here's the full list, from the Department of Health:

  • Transportation and logistics
  • Water and wastewater
  • Food service
  • Housing construction
  • Finance, including bank tellers
  • Information technology
  • Communications
  • Energy, including nuclear reactors
  • Legal services
  • Federal, state, county and local government workers, including county election workers, elected officials and members of the judiciary and their staff
  • Media
  • Public safety
  • Public health workers

The vaccine will be available to the general public by April 19, officials said.

As of Friday, Pennsylvania has administered 3,847,164 partial doses and 2,208,660 full doses, for a total of 6,055,844.
