Five-time Olympic medalist Nastia Liukin stopped by the TB12 Sports Therapy Center for a turf time workout last week.

The visit was Liukin’s first to the TB Center, where she experienced much of what Patriots quarterback Tom Brady discusses in his performance guide, “The TB12 Method: How to Achieve a Lifetime of Sustained Peak Performance.” Liukin both sampled Brady’s TB12 electrolytes and trained with some of the equipment that is central to his fitness regimen, like resistance bands and vibrating foam rollers.

After the session, Liukin praised the full-body workout for its low-impact — but still challenging and beneficial — exercises.

“Ever since I ‘retired’ from gymnastics, I’ve been on the search to not only find something I love, but also what works best for my body type,” she said in a statement.

Liukin splits her time between Los Angeles and Boston. She is engaged to former Boston College hockey player Matt Lombardi, who is also an alumnus of The Governor’s Academy. The couple founded Grander Sports, which is an app designed to, as Liukin says, “empower and inspire the next generation of women.”
