Colwell's late homer fuels RedHawks to victory over Canaries

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks defeated the Sioux Falls Canaries 5-2 in 10 innings Monday in American Association baseball at Sioux Falls Stadium.

Tim Colwell went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in the 10th to give the RedHawks a three-run advantage. Chris Jacobs hit a solo homer, while Devan Ahart and Yhoxian Medina each drove in one run. Medina and T.J. Bennett each tallied two hits and a run.

The RedHawks (22-14) have won seven consecutive games and will play Sioux Falls (18-17) at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday in Game 2 of the four-game series.
