ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — Bally's Atlantic City is putting a new spin on the casino industry with its recently opened rotating bar.
The new "Carousel Bar" allows guests to enjoy cocktails while enjoying a 360 degree revolution. Don't worry, it won't go so fast that you'll get seasick. The speed is only 2.5-5 revolutions per hour. It goes slow enough that guests can simply walk onto the floor.
The bar is inspired by Atlantic City itself, serving as a "subtle nod to the timeless amusements found along the boardwalk of Atlantic City," Bally's said. The 24-seat bar is reminiscent of the classic carousel ride and every aspect of the design is meant to evoke the feeling of the boardwalk and speakeasy era.
The Carousel Bar is the first venue of its kind not only in Atlantic City but in New Jersey.
Even the cocktails offered have the spirit of Atlantic City, with flavors like saltwater taffy, caramel popcorn, cotton candy and even a funnel cake martini.
Bally's Atlantic City also recently opened "The Yard," which is a beer garden-style venue that offers live entertainment, a gastro-pub menu and a variety of beers on tap and craft cocktails. The venue will also have '90s themed arcade games.
"Atlantic City deserves a beautiful attraction and there is no better place than the center of the
boardwalk at Bally’s Atlantic City. Many of us remember the iconic Dennis Hotel’s towers photo that has appeared so many times, and now we are bringing energy to this space like never before," said Phil Juliano, Executive VP of Casino Operations & Chief Marketing Officer at Bally's Corporation.
