Things between Noah Syndergaard and his ex were icy — but it seems that relations may have Thor’d.
In December, a Page Six spy spotted the Mets pitcher at a holiday party hooking up with his fellow blond bombshell, Barstool Sports podcast star Alexandra Cooper. At the time, the ace strenuously denied that he’d been canoodling with the “Call Her Daddy” host at the bash, and said that they weren’t dating again.
But his former flame fanned the, er, flames of the story this week when she announced on her podcast that she’s dating her ex once again. She didn’t say the ex in question is Syndergaard, but she didn’t say it wasn’t Syndergaard, which — considering their fling is her only highly publicized relationship — is a notable omission. She never referred to him by name publicly during their relationship, either.
Syndergaard still denies that he’s back with Cooper.
After we published this story, Cooper got back to our request for comment. She denied that Syndergaard was the “ex” she was discussing, or that she made out with him at the holiday party.
The Post has reported that they started dating in April 2017, when they were spotted smooching at a Knicks game. They dated on and off, and in December 2017, Syndergaard somewhat dramatically announced the end of their relationship, tweeting, “Baseball is my significant other. #focus.”
Cooper said in the episode that she’s also dating a Boston hockey player. “I’m currently dating two guys,” she said. “Very stressful; very hard on the vagina.”
Of the ex, she said she knew that going back to an old boyfriend was a bad idea, but “there’s history, and it’s fun, and the sex is great, and you can’t help it.” She also said they’d previously fought because, as co-host Sofia Franklyn put it, “he thinks she’s a gold digger.”
In the same episode (presumably by coincidence), Cooper and Franklyn also went on a rant about a photoshoot they did for The Post in 2018.
