Prince Harry's secret visit to the set of Suits revealed as Meghan Markle attends Invictus Games opening
As she made her landmark first appearance at one of Prince Harry's official events, it was clear that Meghan Markle hoped to show support for arguably the biggest achievement of his working life.
As befits a throughly modern relationship, it appears the Prince has quietly reciprocated.
After Ms Markle stepped into the limelight at the Invictus Games, it emerged the Prince too had made a visit to her workplace: the set of legal drama Suits.
In a fitting exchange, Prince Harry is reported to have made a low-key visit to meet cast and crew last week, showing his support for his girlfriend's career.
The appearance was first leaked in Canadian magazine Hello!, with a local source suggesting it had happened on Wednesday. Kensington Palace did not comment on the claims.
On Saturday night, the American actress made her first appearance at one of Prince Harry' events, cheering him on as he opened the Invictus Games.
Ms Markle proved a discreet addition to the event, watching Prince Harry proudly from afar to allow him to complete his official obligations and shine a light firmly on competitors.
The morning after, as Royal admirers discussed her every move, she left Prince Harry to go solo for his first sporting event, watching the athletics and supporting athletes in his official role.
Sitting in the stands with his aides, in an Invictus-branded t-shirt, the Prince spent around 45 minutes as a spectator before going backstage to speak to athletes.
He later presented Duke of Edinburgh International Gold Awards to local youngsters.
Even at the opening ceremony, the Prince fulfilled his professional obligations, sitting next to US First Lady Melania Trump in a section for dignitaries and making do with sneaking glances at Ms Markle from afar.
Ms Markle, 36, joined her boyfriend of more than a year for the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games, in her home town of Toronto, watching him deliver a rousing opening address.

The appearance of the Suits actress at the Invictus ceremony will focus global further attention on the Games, which is in its third year of celebrating the sporting achievements of wounded servicemen and women.
Widely expected to attend Invictus during its week in Toronto, she made an unannounced appearance in the arena for opening night, to hear Prince Harry's speech to competitors, their friends and family.
In a mark of her status in his life, she was watched over by one of his protection officers, disappearing quietly shortly before the end of the evening so the couple could leave the arena discreetly.
While Prince Harry sat with Melania Trump, Justin Trudeau and other dignitaries, Ms Markle was placed around 18 seats away from him and several rows down. Wearing a purple jacket and maxi dress, she was in the company of Markus Anderson, previously described as one of her "closest friends in the world" and said to have introduced her to Prince Harry.
Ms Markle stood for the Canadian national anthem, and was seen nodding emphatically as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau delivered a speech praising servicemen and women who "serve their country with passion and integrity".
Dancing in her seat to the music performances, she appeared oblivious to Prince Harry occasionally glancing in her direction across the aisle.
Onlookers said Ms Markle clapped and nodded along with his speech, and suggested it appeared he may have rehearsed it with her.
As the Prince began his speech in French, she seemed to smother a giggle as he faltered comically over the phrase: "Merci beaucoup pour votre hospitalité."
He went on to speak to competitors, emphasising how they were able to look "up into the stands, and into the eyes of your friends and families".
The Invictus Games, he said, " is about the dedication of the men and women who served their countries, confronted hardship, and refused to be defined by their injuries."
He added: "In a world where so many have reasons to feel cynical and apathetic, I wanted to find a way for veterans to be a beacon of light, and show us all that we have a role to play; that we all win when we respect our friends, neighbours, and communities.
"That's why we created Invictus. Not only to help veterans recover from their physical and mental wounds; but also to inspire people to follow their example of resilience, optimism, and service in their own lives."
Speaking directly to athletes, he told them: "You have all come such a long way.
"Some of you have cheated death and come back stronger than before. "Some of you have overcome emotional challenges that until very recent years would have seen you written off and ignored. " And now you are here. On the world stage, flags on your chests, representing your countries again, supporting your teammates, and looking up into the stands, and into the eyes of your friends and families.
"You are all winners."
Ms Markle's appearance will inevitably lead to further speculation about an imminent engagement announcement, following an interview with Vanity Fair magazine in which she confirmed they were in love.
David Johnston, the Governor General of Canada who attended the ceremony along with the Prince, told ITV he would encourage the blossoming relationship "heartily", joking that he had been informed of "a young lady in the audience" watching the Prince "with great interest".
Asked about the potential to further enhance the ties between the U.K. and Canada, he said: "Well I think it would be quite marvellous and I hope it would be quite marvellous for him and obviously it will help to bring us together."
The Invictus competition got underway on Sunday with wheelchair tennis and athletics.
Earlier Melania Trump had completed her first solo overseas duty as First Lady of the United States, conducting a bilateral meeting with Prince Harry ahead of the Invictus Games.
Mrs Trump smiled warmly for a photocall in Toronto, as the Prince made polite small talk in front of the cameras.
The First Lady, who wore a black and white dog tooth Dior suit, shook the Prince's hand and settled in for a discussion: the first of three bilateral meetings undertaken by Harry today.
The Prince smiled briefly for the photograph, which will be shared around the world to publicise the games.
Meeting the Prince, Melania said: "Thank you. Thank you so much for coming." The Prince then asked the First Lady if she had been in the country long before they discussed the success of the Invictus Games.
The meeting took place in the Yorkville East conference room on the fourth floor of the Sheraton in central Toronto at 1.30pm before the official planned opening of the Invictus Games on Saturday night.
The former model, who became a US citizen in 2006, and the Prince sat on cream leather seats with the respective flags for each country behind them. A white orchid sat on a table between the pair.
Strict White House security flanked the event, anyone with authority to go in the room had all belongings search in a closed room before before being allowed to enter.
President Trump's wife is leading a U.S. delegation to the Paralympic-style games founded by the Prince 2014.
The event marks Melania's first solo trip out of the country since her husband was elected President.
The Prince began his Canadian mission at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health on Satuday, where he was stopped to meet visiting children and their excited mothers.
Camilla Vasquez, 20, said afterwards: "I told him I was really happy to meet him and he said he was glad I'd come out. He is one of the most genuine people I have met.
"You can tell he is sincere and that he truly cares."
Saying the Prince and Meghan Markle seem like the "perfect couple" she added: "They are wonderful together. I met her when she was filming Suits near my school.
"She's like him - very kind and genuine. They are both caring and care and humanitarian issues and social issues. Harry proved that by being here today."
Rupa Arora and her four-year-old daughter Saveira got up at 6am to wait for two-and-a-half hours for the Royal visit, saying: "It was worth it."
Inside, he joined talks about current treatment for mental health issues, including a potential preventative cure to stop soldiers suffering from PTSD.
Later Prince Harry looked delighted to be reunited with Mr Trudeau, in the second of his bilateral meetings of the day.
After shaking hands, the Prince thanked him and described the reaction to Invictus in Canada as "absolutely amazing".
He said: "There's a real buzz across Toronto - everyone's getting into it."
Mr Trudeau also thanked Harry and added: "Sophie and I wish every competitor the best."
And as the press were ushered out, the Prince put aside his airs and graces and leant in to whisper Mr Trudeau a joke - which made him loudly splutter with laughter.
Mr Trudeau, who has a famously flamboyant taste in socks, had donned a bright scarlet pair for his meeting with Prince Harry.
The powerful duo had a clear rapport when the Prince flew out to promote Invictus in Toronto last year.
They were seen laughing and smiling as they watched a demo ice hockey game together.
Ms Markle is also an acquaintance of the 45-year-old Prime Minister.
Last year, the Suits actress shared a candid black and white photograph of them together on Instagram.
The pair had been chatting together on a sofa at the One Young World summit in Ottawa.
Meghan is also friends with the Canadian Prime Minister's wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, they were spotted at a party together at the Toronto Soho House last year.
