WBZ announces death of traffic reporter and actor Joe Stapleton
The broadcaster died unexpectedly on New Year’s Day.
Longtime WBZ traffic reporter Joe Stapleton died suddenly on Tuesday, according to the radio station. Stapleton, who WBZ NewsRadio1030 called a “beloved member” of the station’s family, was also an actor who garnered roles in “Manchester by the Sea,” “Spotlight,” “Mystic River,” and the television show “Castle Rock,” among others. “Joe was known for his love of movies,” WBZ NewsRadio1030 wrote on Tuesday.
