On Tuesday, Grammy winner Britney Spears wished herself a happy 39th birthday (a day early) by posting two PDA snaps alongside her toyboy Sam Asghari.

The troubled pop star - who boasts 131M social media followers - captioned the first image of the 26-year-old fitness trainer pretending to choke her: 'Happy b-day to me!'

Britney might have genuinely been confused as she admitted last Thursday: 'It's honestly an accomplishment to remember what day it is sometimes. [I'm] constantly looking at my silly calendar.'
