The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.

Coxsackie

* DWI: Joseph H. Devito, 35, of New Baltimore, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 12:34 a.m. Friday on U.S. Route 9W in the town and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors, and with possession of marijuana, a violation. Devito was released with appearance tickets for Coxsackie Town Court.

Saugerties

* DWI: Timothy A. Amerman, 27, of Saugerties, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 12:52 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Montgomery and McDonald streets in the village and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. Amerman was released with appearance tickets for Saugerties Village Court.

Wawarsing

* Drugs/DWI: Michael F. Ceriale, 50, of Middletown, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 5:52 p.m. Thursday on U.S. Route 209 and was charged with drunken driving and criminal possession of a controlled substance, both misdemeanors, possession of marijuana, a violation, and refusing a breath test, an infraction. Ceriale was sent to the Ulster County Jail and released by court order on Friday, according to a jail official.
