Motorcyclist Killed In South Jefferson County Crash

The 22-year-old male driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash in Jefferson County Monday.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in South Jefferson County Monday. The incident occurred just before 1 p.m. at the intersection of McAshan Drive and Jefferson Metropolitan Parkway in McCalla.

Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said the 22-year-old man driving the motorcycle, which collided at the intersection with a Toyota Camry, was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
