The Giants made a shocking selection at the NFL Draft Thursday night when they picked quarterback Daniel Jones of Duke with the No. 6 pick.

The Jets drafted defensive tackle Quinnen Williams of Alabama with the No. 3 pick earlier.

The 6-foot-5 Jones connected on 764 of 1,265 pass attempts for 8,201 career yards and 52 touchdowns for the Blue Devils. The three-year starter threw 29 picks and had a QB rating of 122.9 in three seasons as a starter.

Barring a trade, the Giants are also supposed to have the No. 17 pick.

The 6-3, 313-pound Williams had 91 career tackles in two seasons with the Crimson Tide, including 71 in 2018. The sophomore also had 10 career sacks (eight last season) and 26 career tackles for losses, including 19.5 last fall.

As expected, Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray was selected No. 1 overall by the Arizona Cardinals.
