Nassau Crash: Motorcyclist Dies, Sedan Driver Hurt

Police say a motorcycle crashed into the back of a sedan over the weekend. A man is dead and a woman was hurt.

NORTH MASSAPEQUA, NY — A motorcyclist is dead following a crash on the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway in North Massapequa.

Around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, a 29-year-old man was riding a 2017 Kawasaki motorcycle and heading north in the center lane when he crashed into the back of a 2015 Honda sedan, police said.The crash happened near the exit for Boundary Avenue.

The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and died at the crash site, police said.

The 58-year old woman who was driving the sedan was hurt and taken to a hospital for treatment. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening.

The motorcyclist's name is being withheld until his family can be properly notified.
