Patriots’ Robert Kraft Jokes That Taylor Swift Should’ve Dated Rob Gronkowski

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s whirlwind romance with Taylor Swift took the NFL world by storm this season, and one NFL owner sounds a bit jealous of it. Kelce, who is often compared to former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski as one of the best to ever play the position, was once again compared to Gronk—but not for his skill on the field.  

To wit, Patriots owner Robert Kraft said Swift should have dated Gronkowski, and not Kelce, in a video posted Saturday on social media.

“Maybe she should have been dating Gronk,” Kraft said. “He’s better looking!” 

Kraft also shared the story of how Swift performed her first-ever stadium concert at Gillette Stadium on his birthday in 2010. As a gift, Kraft said he gave her a framed ticket from the concert. 

It’s worth noting that Gronkowski is in a happy long-term relationship with his girlfriend, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Camille Kostek. From the outside looking in, it seems as though both couples are perfectly happy with their respective partners.
