Finnish Economy Contracts as Inflation, Borrowing Costs Weigh

Finland’s economy contracted in the third quarter, a flash estimate indicated, as accelerating inflation and higher borrowing costs began to reduce activity.

Gross domestic product contracted a seasonally adjusted 0.1% from the prior three-month period, Statistics Finland said on Tuesday. In the year, the economy expanded 1.7%, adjusted for the number of working days.
