I've no IKEA how I'm getting home... Customers are forced to spend the night in furniture store's showroom beds after getting snowed in in Denmark
- Six customers and around two dozen workers stranded at Ikea in Aalborg, Denmark following 12 inches of snow
- Snowed in customers and employees were able to try out the beds they wanted
- The group watched TV and ate food during the 'fun' evening
- Ikea staff invited the toy store staff next door to join them for the night
Six Ikea customers and around two dozen employees ended up at an impromptu slumber party in Denmark after being stranded by a snowstorm, which forced them to spend the night in a store on Wednesday.
Up to 12 inches of snow fell, trapping the customers and staff in the Aalborg store, so they were unable to get home to their own beds.
But rather than attempting to trek back through the snow, customers and staff were given the opportunity of a lifetime to live for one night in the store's inviting furniture showrooms.
Pictures show how they were given the pick of the entire store's various beds and mattresses.
Thankfully, the customers didn't have to assemble their own sleeping quarters and were allowed to kip in the furniture displays

Customers, staff and employees from the toy shop next door were stranded by a snowstorm and had to stay the night in Ikea
'We slept in the furniture exhibitions and our showroom on the first floor, where we have beds, mattresses and sofa beds,' store manager Peter Elmrose told Denmark's Ekstra Bladet newspaper.
He said customers were able to pick the exact bed they were thinking of buying and try it out, and they had all spent the night eating and watching TV, saying it went 'super well', and the night was 'all fun'.
Denmark's public broadcaster DR also reported that people working in the toy shop next door also joined the Ikea-themed sleepover, after they too were stranded by the bad weather.
Grateful to the Ikea staff, the toy shop manager Michelle Barrett said: 'It's much better than sleeping in one's car. It has been nice and warm and we are just happy that they would let us in.'
'We just laughed at the situation, because we will probably not experience it again.'
