Alabama Confirms 754 New Coronavirus Cases

The Alabama Department of Public Health added 754 cases overnight, along with two new deaths.

MONTGOMERY, AL β€” The Alabama Department of Public Health confirmed 754 new coronavirus cases overnight Monday, and reported two new deaths from the virus.

The Monday report from the ADPH shows the state has confirmed 131,405 total COVID-19 cases, and 2,292 deaths since March. More than a million tests have been administered in the state, and 61,232 patients who tested positive are believed to have recovered from the virus.

The pandemic has now been active for more than six months.

In the last two weeks, the state has confirmed 9,605 new COVID-19 cases, meaning thr 14-day total has still not exceeded 10,000 cases in September.

The counties reporting the most new cases of COVID-19 Monday:

  • Jefferson County: 107 new cases; 18,315 total
  • Tuscaloosa County: 70 new cases; 5,965 total
  • Madison County: 47 new cases; 7,267 total
  • Mobile County: 47 new cases; 12,726 total
  • Marshall County: 44 new cases; 3,667 total
