Police are seeking two men in the shooting of a female doughnut shop worker during a $500 robbery in Frankford.
The 38-year-old woman was shot in the back when she tried to escape through the back door of the Tasty Donut Shop in the 1500 block of Pratt Street during the stickup Sunday afternoon, police said. Officers rushed her to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where she was reported in critical condition.
The robbery occurred about 3:20 p.m., when two men entered the store, one armed with a revolver, police said. The gunman jumped over the counter and, while holding the cashier at gunpoint, shot the other worker in the back as she tried to flee.
The gunman grabbed a bucket with $500 in cash under the counter and fled with his accomplice, police said.
