Crocs add fanny packs, somehow get uglier

It’s finally happened: Crocs found a way to get even uglier.

Combining two much-mocked retro trends, these new Crocs feature fanny packs on the ankle straps, which can also be flipped to the front.

The zippered pouches can be used to store objects such as keys, cash and whatever dignity the wearer has left.

The foam-resin clog brand — beloved by the likes of Mario Batali, Post Malone and Whoopi Goldberg — launched the collaboration with the cult Japanese clothing line Beams earlier this month.

Available in Ultraviolet and Tropical Teal, the shoes are available on the Beams site for 5940 yen or about $53 per pair.
