Madonna slams DaBaby for homophobic comments, sexist remarks

Madonna has become the latest celeb to call out rapper DaBaby for homophobic and sexist remarks he made during Miami’s Rolling Loud Festival last weekend.

“A message to DaBaby — if you’re going to make hateful remarks to the LGBTQ+ community about HIV/AIDS then know your facts,” the pop icon, 57, began her lengthy lashing of the 29-year-old “Baby Sitter” rhymer, whose real name is Jonathan Kirk.

“After decades of hard won scientific research— there are now life saving medicines available to children born with HIV, to people who contract HIV through blood transfusions, dirty needles or exchange of bodily fluids,” the “Like a Virgin” artist continued. “These new ARV’s can keep a person with AIDS alive for the rest of their lives!!! AID’s [sic] is not transmitted by standing next to someone in a crowd.
I want to put my cellphone lighter up and pray for your ignorance, No one dies of AIDS in 2 or 3 weeks anymore. Thank God 🙏.”

During his set, DaBaby said: “If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up … Fellas, if you ain’t sucking d–k in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.”

He also made comments regarding women’s private parts, which didn’t sit well with the superstar.

“And your sexist remarks about Ladies who’s pu—-s need to smell like water only encourage more discrimination against women who fight daily against the oppression of living under the constraints of the Male Gaze,” she argued.

“People like you are the reason we are still living in a world divided by fear. All Human beings should be treated with dignity and respect regardless of race, gender, sexual preference or religious beliefs. AMEN,” she concluded, being sure to tag DaBaby in the post.

While the “BOP” rapper choose not to respond to the legend, he did clap back at The Roots drummer and “Summer of Soul” filmmaker Questlove, who also expressed his disappointment in DaBaby’s comments Thursday.

DaBaby’s “Levitating” collaborator Dua Lipa also took issue with his Rolling Loud remarks, as did Sir Elton John.

While the “Suge” rapper first defended his comments, he later apologized while under threat of cancellation.

“Anybody who done ever been effected by AIDS/HIV y’all got the right to be upset, what I said was insensitive even though I have no intentions on offending anybody. So my apologies,” he tweeted Tuesday evening.

“But the LGBT community… I ain’t trippin on y’all, do you. y’all business is y’all business.”
