Watch Lane Kiffin's dad, 77-year-old Monte, dance in FAU locker room celebration

Florida Atlantic coach Lane Kiffin, center, argues an interference call on the field during the second half of an NCAA college football game against Old Dominion in Blacksburg, Va., Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017.

Monte Kiffin had a reason to celebrate.

The 77-year-old father of Lane Kiffin is a defensive assistant under his son at Florida Atlantic.

The Owls put on an impressive showing Saturday.

So he decided to celebrate with the team by leading a dance party in the locker room after the 69-31 win over North Texas.

The players seemed to enjoy the performance.

How about you?

Head coach Lane Kiffin told the Palm Beach Post he's enjoying the national recognition his team has received because of the Owls' 4-3 overall record and 3-0 in C-USA.

"Success brings attention, and that's what you want on your program," Kiffin said Monday. "From the standpoint of recruiting and national exposure, that part's good."

Devin Singletary rushed for three touchdowns and Florida Atlantic finished with a Conference USA-record 804 yards in a 69-31 win over North Texas on Saturday night.

The Owls scored on their first 11 drives, including nine touchdowns. Singletary had scoring runs of 2 and 3 yards in the first quarter. In the second, he scored on a 22-yarder, his 14th touchdown of the season, a school record.

FAU amassed 447 yards rushing, passed for 357. Azee Al-Shaair was credited with 14 tackles.
