Suspect arrested for killing man over Popeyes chicken sandwich

A suspect who stabbed and killed a man in a fight over the wildly popular Popeyes chicken sandwich was busted by Maryland cops Thursday, police said.

Ricoh McClain, 30, was arrested for fatally knifing 28-year-old Kevin Tyrell Davis outside the fast food joint in Oxon Hill on Nov. 4, Prince George’s County police said.

Cops announced the bust on Twitter early Thursday, but added they had no further information.

Investigators believe McClain and Davis got into a beef inside the fast food chicken restaurant, in the town just outside Washington, DC, when Davis cut in line.

Davis had spent about 15 minutes “methodically” bypassing customers in a line just for the sandwich, Prince George’s County Police Chief Hank Stawinski told reporters after the slaying.

The argument spilled outside the restaurant, and Davis was stabbed once in the upper body, police said.

Cops found him in the parking lot. He died at a nearby hospital less than an hour later.
