STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-Staten Island/South Brooklyn) said that while she is taking a “thoughtful” approach to Congress’ certification of the Electoral College scheduled for Wednesday, she does expect to join objections planned by a number of Republicans.

Under the Constitution, Congress needs to certify the Electoral College results from December that officially elected former Vice President Joe Biden as the next president by a margin of 306-232.
