Late Disney Channel star Cameron Boyce is being commemorated by his family through a new charity named in his honor.

The actor’s father, Victor Boyce, announced the The Cameron Boyce Foundation in an Instagram post Monday night, less than two weeks after his son died at 20.

“The Cameron Boyce Foundation provides young people artistic and creative outlets as alternatives to violence and negativity and uses resources and philanthropy for positive change in the world,” reads a description on the organization’s website. “The Foundation was established in 2019 to honor Cameron’s legacy.”

Boyce died on July 6, with his family later revealing the cause was a seizure that resulted from epilepsy.

“Now is the time to make a change,” Victor captioned his Instagram post announcing the new foundation. “Donate what you can. Encourage your friends and family to do the same. Let’s keep Cameron’s legacy alive and make a positive difference in the World.”

The actor starred on the Disney Channel series “Jessie” and in the network’s made-for-TV “Descendants” movies. A red carpet event ahead of the nearing premiere of “Descendants 3” was canceled last week following Boyce’s untimely death.
