Since she’ll already be there waiting to win, Adele will perform at the Grammys

Ten-time Grammy winner Adele has been added to the performance roster for the 59th Annual Grammy Awards, which will air on February 12. She will perform a song from her 2015 album, 25, which bizarrely missed the deadline to qualify for the 2016 Grammys. So even though it feels like a decade has passed since she was all “hello, it’s me,” 25 and “Hello” are up for awards this year. At last year’s Grammys, Adele performed “All I Ask,” powering through a technical error and proving that you don’t have to be nominated for a Grammy to dominate the Grammys. This year, however, she continues to dominate with several nominations: Album Of The Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for 25 and Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Hello.”

John Legend, Metallica, Carrie Underwood, and Keith Urban are also set to perform in the awards show. Beyoncé leads the nominations pool, as she always should, with nine nominations. Drake, Rihanna, and Kanye West follow with eight nominations each. The 59th Annual Grammy Awards will be hosted by The Late Late Show’s James Corden, which means we can probably expect some carpool karaoke filler during the telecast. Adele dominated that, too.
