If there's one word that can accurately describe Marshawn Lynch, it has to be "real."

For one—"Beast Mode" is two words. But "real" is a simple way of summing up how the Seattle Seahawks All-Pro running back approaches nearly every facet of his life. Lynch is a product of Oakland, and for better or worse he wears his upbringing in the notoriously rough Bay Area city as a badge of honor. It made him who he is today—a rare breed of NFL star whose millions of dollars haven't affected how he interacts with people.

Lynch was famously real quiet with reporters during Super Bowl week, real funny with our man Joe La Puma when they went sneaker shopping last week, and real inspirational when interacting with the young kids of Oakland at his camp. And while some players participate in these things as a way to make a quick buck or a means to smile in front of cameras for good PR, from what we can tell Marshawn Lynch legitimately does it for the kids.
