Washington head coach Jay Gruden has named Kirk Cousins the starting quarterback over Robert Griffin III going into the 2015-2016 NFL season. In a press conference Gruden said Kirk was the best quarterback on the roster even though he has liked things that RGII has done this preseason.
Robert Griffin III, who has started for Washington since he was drafted second overall in the 2012 NFL Draft, will now have to fit into a backup role as the season looks to begin.
We aren’t sure how long this move will last, but only time will tell if we ever see RGIII suit up for Washington as the starting quarterback again.
