NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell hinted Thursday that Browns fans should feel a draft coming on. An NFL draft, this is.
During his fan forum with Browns season ticket holders before the final training camp practice Thursday, Goodell joked, “I noticed that draft announcement on my way in. Was that a coincidence?”
He was referring to the fact that the Browns, the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission have collaborated on a bid to bring the 2019 or 2020 draft to Northeast Ohio.
“We assumed you were going to let us know,” joked Browns head of football operations Sashi Brown.
