Reston Holiday Parade Ranked 1 Spot Behind Macy's Parade by USA Today Readers

The parade moved up from No. 6 to No. 5 on the list of best holiday parades in the nation.

RESTON, VA — USA Today readers are so impressed by the Reston Holiday Parade that they've put it one spot below the famous Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York on the "10best" list for best holiday parades in the nation.

The Reston Holiday Parade, which took place the day after Thanksgiving, is currently No. 5 on the national list as of Tuesday morning, up from its spot at No. 6 earlier this month. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has declined to No. 4 after being at No. 2 earlier. Currently, the Eastport Yacht Club Lights Parade in Annapolis, Md. holds the top spot.

"Dancing elves, festive floats, boats covered in twinkling lights, Santa in his sleigh – these are some of the many sights you might see as a spectator at one of these 20 holiday parades, nominated as the best in the USA," the 10best site states.
