Drag racing: Anderson beaten in NHRA final

Duluthian Greg Anderson expanded his series points lead on teammate Jason Line of Wright by reaching Sunday's Pro Stock finals at the National Hot Rod Association Gatornationals in Gainesville, Fla.

Duluthian Greg Anderson expanded his series points lead on teammate Jason Line of Wright by reaching Sunday's Pro Stock finals at the National Hot Rod Association Gatornationals in Gainesville, Fla.

Shay Gray's Chevy Camaro reached the finish line in 6.535 seconds, a hair ahead of Anderson to win the Pro Stock final. Anderson had a slightly higher speed at 213.43 mph to Gray's 212.96.

Anderson upped his point total to 319 to take a 33-point lead over Line, whom he defeated in the semifinals.
