Breaking Bad actor Charles Baker has joined Nicolas Winding Refn‘s horror film The Neon Demon.
Baker joins a strong cast that includes Elle Fanning, Christina Hendricks, Jena Malone and Keanu Reeves. The Danish director’s follow-up to Only God Forgives is described as a female-driven horror movie that follows an aspiring model who finds herself in a terrifying predicament, with her survival hanging in the balance.
Karl Glusman, Bella Heathcote, Abbey Lee and Desmond Harrington also star.
Refn and Mary Laws wrote the script for the project. Refn’s longtime partner, Lene Borglum, who worked with the director on Valhalla Rising and Only God Forgives, will be producing under their Space Rocket Nation banner in association with Wild Bunch and Gaumont. The film has begun shooting in LA.
Baker played Skinny Pete on AMC;s popular show Breaking Bad, and most recently appeared on The Blacklist and Chicago PD. On the film side, his recent projects include Wild with Reese Witherspoon and Ain’t Them Bodies Saints. He’s repped by Greene & Associates, The Green Room and Glaser Weil.
