Britons are the world's second biggest porn viewers after the Americans - and 'burglar' and 'giantess' smut are among our new favourites

The UK has held onto its position as the world's second most prolific porn viewers - and also proved to have more staying power than any country in the EU.

Statistics released by Pornhub show that - while we are still some way behind America when it comes to pleasuring ourselves - we watched more porn videos than any other country. 

Canada came in third place, followed by India, Japan, France and Germany respectively, as a staggering 92 billion videos were watched around the planet.

And as for to the length of each individual session of 'me time', the British stuck around longer per visit than any other European country, spending an average of 9 minutes and 40 seconds on each Pornhub visit. 

This is an almost entire minute longer than our efficient German counterparts and double the time spent on the site by the quickest nation, Cuba, who get their business done in an average of 4 minutes and 57 seconds.

Statistics released in Feburary showed that, unsurprisingly, London leads the way for Pornhub traffic, followed by Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Liverpool.

The most popular celebrity searched for on the site was Kim Kardashian - although Donald Trump made a surprise appearance in fourth place.

For the second year in a row, 'lesbian' was the number one search term in the world.

The most searched for terms by women were lesbian, lesbians scissoring and threesome.

For men, the most searched for terms were milf, step mom and step sister. 

And virtual reality porn has also had a huge increase, with Pornhub launching its own VR category - which initially only had 30 videos.

By the end of the year the category had over 1,800 videos, and counting. Some of the most popular VR related search terms on Pornhub include 360 VR, 360 Degree, VR Hentai and shemale VR, to name a few.
