Women's clothing retailer Bebe (NASDAQ:BEBE) is closing all 173 of its brick and mortar stores, according to a recent filing with the Security and Exchange Commission.

The Brisbane, California-based store has lost about $200 million over the last four years.

Bebe has only one store in Alabama, at the Summit in Birmingham.  The store used to have a location at the Riverchase Galleria in Hoover which closed years ago.

Bebe has set a deal to sell all of its inventory and plans to close all stores by the end of May.

Bloomberg first reported the plans to shut down all the stores, and said it would seek success as an online only brand.

Several major national retailers have already declared bankruptcy this year, including RadioshackHH Gregg and Gander Mountain.
