Walmart to reportedly hire 300 workers for new South Jersey location

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP -- Walmart is hiring 300 new workers to staff a store being built in Egg Harbor Township, according to a report.

The mix of full and part-time employees will start working in June at a store expected to open during the summer at the corner of Fire Road and Black Horse Pike, PressofAtlanticCity.com said.

Walmart has set up a hiring center in the Merrill Lynch and AMI Medical Complex on Hingston Avenue in town. Prospective employees can also apply online.

In addition, eligible U.S. veterans who apply will be given a job as part of the company's Veterans Welcome Home Commitment it began on Memorial Day 2013.

Walmart employs 20,693 in New Jersey, according to its website. The company has 72 stores in the state, including 10 Sam's Clubs.
