N.J. teacher allegedly locked toddlers in bathroom, report says

WAYNE -- A preschool teacher at Packanack Elementary School has been accused of punishing at least two students by locking them in a bathroom, WCBS 2 New York reported Tuesday.

The teacher, who was not identified, is accused of confining the children last month. The teacher has been suspended since early June as the alleged incidents are being investigated by the state Department of Children and Families, CBS reported. The children are believed to be aged 3 and 4.

Superintendent of Schools Mark Toback confirmed a misconduct investigation was underway but declined to comment further, stating the district was prohibited from discussing personnel matters.
