In his first NFL action last week, Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Tim Williams didn't make the stat sheet past the participation column. That didn't happen in the Ravens' second preseason game on Thursday night.
In the fourth quarter of Baltimore's 31-7 victory over Miami, Williams sacked Dolphins quarterback Brandon Doughty for a 7-yard loss.
On the next play, Williams almost got another sack, but Doughty got rid of the football while he was being hit.
Williams is a rookie from Alabama who joined Baltimore in the third round of the NFL Draft on April 28. The Ravens are hoping Williams will help them improve their pass rush in 2017.
Former West Alabama standout Otha Foster also recorded a sack for the Ravens on Thursday night. A safety, Foster played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League last season.
