Bob Odenkirk and the Better Call Saul cast are checking in from Albuquerque in a new featurette.
While filming the AMC spinoff of Breaking Bad — which Odenkirk says will be “dramatic and very intense, and has these cliffhanger moments” — Jonathan Banks admits, “You kind of expect, every once in a while, Aaron [Paul] or Bryan [Cranston], Anna [Gunn] or Dean [Norris] or R.J. [Mitte] to walk around the corner.”
Still, it’s a pleasant set with beautiful sunsets and no traffic, says producer Nina Jack, while SFX supervisor Werner Hahnlein says, “It’s definitely like a high school reunion — with great people, not like high school!”
The two-and-a-half-minute video also shows more actors from the February 2015 series — tracing the character’s transformation from Jimmy McGill to beloved lawyer Saul Goodman — including Rhea Seehorn, Patrick Fabian, Michael McKean and Michael Mando.
