Grab your phones, calendars, Blackberries (are they still a thing?), or whatever else you use to mark important events because the Dirty Dancing remake officially has an air date.

The TV version of the film will make its debut on ABC on May 24 at 8 p.m.

The remake of the film was first announced last January, with the news that ABC would turn the classic into a three-hour television event. Soon thereafter, casting was announced, and that's when we got really excited. Abigail Breslin and Colt Prattes will step into the roles of Baby and Johnny, respectively, while Debra Messing and Bruce Greenwood will play Baby's parents. Other cast members include Katey Segal, Sarah Hyland, and Tony Roberts. ABC has also said that the remake will have double the number of musical performances the original had, begging the question: Is bigger really better?

Though, admittedly, we have a hard time picturing anybody other than Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze in these iconic roles, we are curious to see a what a remake will look like. Will it have the same charm? Will Prattes even be able to hold a candle to Swayze? And will Breslin be able to pull off that leap?!

Guess we'll have to wait until May 24 to find out, but until then, we'll just leave this here for you:
