Looking for work? Lockheed Martin is hiring nearly 300 in N.J.

MOORESTOWN -- A Maryland-based defense contractor is looking to hire nearly 300 people to work in its Burlington County facility.

Lockheed Martin is hosting a job fair Thursday in Mount Laurel to find candidates to fill the positions, which range from engineers to assemblers.

The company announced the hiring push Monday but did not say why the facility, which employs several thousand, was in need of so many new employees.

The Moorestown location at 199 Borton Landing Road primarily works in development and production of radar, sensors, maritime systems and missile defense technology for domestic and international customers, according to a release from Lockheed Martin.

It has been in operation since 1993, when Martin Marietta, a predecessor to Lockheed Martin, purchased the property from GE, according to the company.

  • System Engineers
  • Software Engineers and Developers
  • Hardware Engineers
  • Systems Integration/Test Engineers
  • Field Engineers

In products and manufacturing

  • Assemblers
  • Micro-electronic Technicians
  • Electronic Test Technicians
  • Manufacturing Methods Engineers
  • Test Methods Engineers
  • Production Control

In business development and growth:

  • Business planner
  • Program finance analyst

Some of the positions may require government security clearance, so candidates those candidates will have to undergo a security investigation and meet eligibility requirements, the company said.

The hiring event will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Rowan College of Burlington County Enterprise Center at 300 College Circle in Mount Laurel.
