Auburn baseball holds steady in national polls

Auburn didn't move in the latest national polls after going 3-1 last week.

The Tigers remained at No. 10 in the Baseball America top 25 and held strong at No. 11 in the D1Baseball.com rankings as well. Auburn (27-11, 10-5 SEC) won a midweek slugfest at Samford before taking two of three from Tennessee on the road last week.

It's the fifth straight week that Auburn has been ranked. The Tigers are tied for second overall in the SEC standings at the midpoint of conference play and tied for second in the SEC West, behind Arkansas, which checked in at No. 16 in Baseball America's rankings and 14th in the D1Baseball.com poll. Auburn will host Arkansas in a pivotal three-game series this weekend.

Auburn is the second-highest ranked SEC team in Baseball America's poll, just one spot behind No. 9 LSU and one spot ahead of No. 11 Mississippi State. In the D1Baseball.com poll, Auburn is the third-highest ranked SEC team behind No. 9 LSU and No. 10 Kentucky.

Auburn will host Kennesaw State on Tuesday before its series against the Razorbacks.
