Somehow, it's that's time of year again. Yep, the time when us mere mortals tune in to Celebrity MasterChef to watch some of our favourite celebs attempt to cook.

Sorry, guys.

But who's set to enter the fabled MasterChef kitchen and take over the mantel from last year's winner, The Real Hustle's Alexis Conran?

Well, for viewers of a certain generation, the latest round of celebrity hopefuls is a blast from the past, which is exactly what we like to see.

Prepping their menus for this year are S Club 7's Rachel Stevens, Debbie McGee, singer and author Patti Boulaye and world champion snooker player Stephen Hendry.

Gogglebox's Reverend Kate Bottley, newsreader Julia Somerville, TV presenter Aasmah Mir, Lock Stock's Nick Moran and Olympian Rebecca Adlington are also getting their aprons on.

Also entering the pressure cooker that is MasterChef are TV legend Ulrika Jonsson, former French tennis ace Henry Leconte, Radio 1 DJ Dev Griffin and Union J's Jaymie Hensley.

And last, but not least, our final batch of MasterChef hopefuls to cook for John and Gregg are Outnumbered's Tyger Drew-Honey, soprano Lesley Garrett and CBBC's Barney Harwood. Phew.

Now excuse us while we try to figure out who's most likely to be this year's Sinitta.

Celebrity MasterChef will be back on BBC One Wednesday 16 August at 8pm.
