Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy reunited this weekend in Houston

Even if it wasn’t in the booth, Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy were together again this weekend in Houston.

The fondly remembered longtime Red Sox broadcasting duo reunited for some quality time Friday night, Orsillo tweeted Saturday.

Orsillo, who now does play-by-play for the San Diego Padres, was in town to call the national broadcast of the second game of the Red Sox weekend series against the Astros. Before Saturday, his last Red Sox game was in 2015 after NESN decided not to renew his contract — to the dismay of some fans.

Following Remy’s announcement last week that his cancer had relapsed, Orsillo reached out in support and said he looked forward to seeing his former announcing partner this weekend.
