Man arrested after brothel found in south Belfast

A 38-year-old man was arrested in Belfast on Saturday after the discovery of a suspected brothel in south Belfast.

The man was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences linked to brothel keeping and prostitution after three women were found on the property.

Detective Inspector Nigel Snoddy said: “The arrest follows the discovery of a suspected brothel at an address on Cromwell Road in south Belfast this morning.

“Three women who were at the property are now receiving appropriate assistance and support and will be spoken with in due course.

“The man will be questioned in relation to inciting prostitution for gain and keeping a brothel used for prostitution.

“He remains in custody at present.”
