UPDATE 10/05/15:

The firing of the photo's original poster, Gerod Roth a.k.a. Geris Hilton, has now been confirmed by AtlantaBlackStar. Furthermore, additional details regarding the process by which these comments were discovered and promptly sent into the viral bloodstream of the internet have also been unveiled. Chegianna Scott-Heron, the daughter of civil rights fighter and artist Gil Scott-Heron, was reportedly instrumental in contacting the respective employers of the photo uploader and the offensive commenters.

"[My father] always taught me to stick up for what was right, so when I came across the posts that Geris Hilton and his friends made, I decided I couldn't just sit there and be upset about it," she tells us via e-mail. "I had to do something." Chey then took to email to contact their respective places of work, ultimately resulting in the firing of multiple involved parties:

Just when Mars water really had everyone believing that mankind might be capable of making the next great leap in our evolution, some unimaginably stupid shit like this happens. The bro in the screengrab above, presumably a real actual person in the year 2015, decided to share a selfie with a black co-worker's young boy. This bro then accompanied the Facebook posting of this photo with some downright disgusting commentary:

Making fun of a three year old is wrong. #HisNameIsCayden #HisNameIsCaydenJace

The bro, digitally nicknamed Geris Hilton according to News One, and his spineless tactics have reportedly already resulted in the firing of one commenter. Thankfully, the mother of the child in the photo quickly revealed his name to be Cayden Jace, inspiring the steadily growing hashtag #HisNameIsCayden:

Shout out to Polaris Marketing Group of Atlanta for firing Gerod Roth! What a hateful evil person! #HisNameIsCayden pic.twitter.com/Dq8KXl73wp

Cayden's mother then released a longer statement, expressing her gratitude for the growing support for her innocent child:

Thanks for once again setting us back several decades, racists.
