Edinburgh-based Artisan Cheesecakes have created the Belgian Chocolate encased, Teasers Maltesers Cheesecakes just in time for the launch of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

The bakery chain, which hit the headlines earlier this year following the massive popularity of their Pokemon-themed cheesecakes, are set to launch the new range today (Thursday, 15th December).

Available at the bakery’s outlets in Bruntsfield Place in Edinburgh, South Bridge Street in Bathgate and their newest outlet in Livingston, the cakes come in the shape of the death star, an x-wing, a star destroyer and of course, Han Solo's famous ship, the Millenium Falcon.

Owner Wendy McQueen, who came up with the idea after speaking to her sons who are big fans of the films, said: "When my sons were little they loved the Star Wars trilogy and they have been very excited at the release of the new movie. They insisted we did something to mark the occasion, and so our 4" Star Wars inspired cheesecakes were born. They are Belgian Chocolate encased, Teasers Maltesers Cheesecakes and they are £4.50 each. They are a limited edition and we are, as always, selling them on a first come first served basis.
