Orchard Park, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Bills made a pair of roster moves on Wednesday morning, signing wide receiver Rod Streater and tight end Wes Saxton. To make room on the roster, the Bills released 2014 second-round pick offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio and quarterback Josh Woodrum.

Streater, who visited the Bills on Tuesday, is the latest veteran addition to a wide receiver depth chart in need of experience. With rookie Zay Jones sidelined by a knee injury and Sammy Watkins recovering from foot surgery, the Bills needed more bodies at wide receiver. Streater, who has 127 catches and 1,755 receiving yards in five NFL seasons, set career highs with the Oakland Raiders in 2013 when he had 60 catches for 888 yards and four touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Saxton gives the Bills more competition at tight end, where Charles Clay, Nick O'Leary and Logan Thomas currently top the depth chart. Saxton has spent the early part of his career on the Jets' and Washington's practice squads after going undrafted out of South Alabama. Washington waived him on May 15. Saxton, who is 6-foot-3 and weighs 248 pounds, ran a 4.65-second 40-yard dash to go along with 36-inch vertical jump and a 119-inch broad jump.

As for the Bills' cuts, Kouandjio is the noteworthy one. He was a second-round pick out of Alabama in 2014 but never carved out a role with the Bills. He saw only spot action over the last three seasons due to injuries and inconsistent play. In April, Kouandjio was involved in a bizarre incident in which he was found in a field with no pants on by police after he had climbed an electric fence. Kouandjio was not charged. He hasn't participated in the Bills' offseason workouts while he recovers from an injury. He made seven starts in three seasons.

Woodrum was a roster filler at quarterback. With Tyrod Taylor, T.J. Yates, Cardale Jones and Nathan Peterman already on the roster, there was no room for Woodrum moving forward.
