Narwhal tankers lead Ceelin Plus tilt

THE Narwhal Swimming Team accumulated a tournament-leading 689 points yesterday in the opening day of the first annual Ceelin Plus Age-Group and Novice Swim Meet at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo De Cebu (SHS-ADC) pool.

Narwhal anchored its opening day romp on its girls team which tallied 378 points, while its boys squad scored 311 points behind the brilliant performances of Chris Garcia who won the Boys 6 and Under 25 SC Meter Backstroke and 25 SC Meter Backstroke Novice and Christian Saladaga who ruled the 50 SC Meter Freestyle Novice.

The Talisay City Swimming Team is currently in second place with 337 points while the home squad SHS-ADC Swim Team led by multi-titled triathlete Yuan Chiongbian who topped the 13-15 Boys 100 SC Meter Freestyle is in third spot with 226.5 points.

Action continues today at the SHS-ADC pool at 9:30 a.m. as teams try to earn much-needed points for the coveted trophy.
