Remember, the fight will be replayed on the hour, every hour, on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra from 06:00 BST up until 10:00 BST.

The report is up on the BBC Sport website and stay across the website over the next couple of days for all the reaction pieces.

  2. 'You are a boxer's dream'

    Speaking of Fury...

  3. Where next for Joshua?

Well, probably another sell-out at Wembley with 90,000 boxing fans watching.

Wladimir Klitschko says he has a rematch clause in the contract, but will he ever exercise it? Is the boxing legend finished with the sport after that one?

If Klitschko is done, then surely it will be one of only three other fighters to be standing opposite Joshua next.

Tyson Fury, if he gets himself in shape, or one of the two men to hold other versions of world titles - American Deontay Wilder, the WBC title holder or New Zealander Joseph Parker, the WBO champion.

Anthony Joshua is still in there. Selfies galore, chanting, joy.

American boxing writer Dan Rafael says: "It doesn't get much better than that. I'm glad I made this trip."

What a privilege to be ringside. Truly epic on all fronts. My ears are ringing from the roars.

  7. 'Will to win the most impressive thing'

    BBC Radio 5 live

Some more quotes from Anthony Joshua's trainer Rob McCracken on 5 live, who was asked if there was any point he thought his man was going to lose.

"100% when he got knocked down (in the sixth), when he got hit with the biggest punch in his career," says McCracken. "But we knew he could regroup and if he stayed with me and listened to me I would get him through it.

"We have drilled him for 12 weeks. He has hated it but I have been lucky - this is the stuff dreams are made of.

"His will to win and determination has been the most impressive thing for us. He was getting mobbed a bit in the ring at the end but he is a great person. No-one deserves it more than AJ."

  12. 'Fights are won in the gym'

    BBC Radio 5 live

More from Anthony Joshua on BBC Radio 5 live: "There's been many a time in training when we go into the 11th round and Rob McCracken has said 'all right, next one' and I'm tired but I know I have to keep it up because I have to go the distance.

"I showed tonight that fights are won in the gym. It gets tough and boxing isn't easy. You have to have the whole package."

  13. 'I came to hurt him'

    BBC Radio 5 live

Anthony Joshua on Radio 5 live: "I knew it was possible to hurt him but I am learning round by round. I'm learning under the bright lights.

"I don't come to box, I come to hurt people. With all due respect, I came to hurt him.

"At the end of the day, I figured out what I had to do and got him done.

"I'm going back to my council flat with my family to eat some good food. I'm not going anywhere. I'm coming back to Wembley. For the first time here, thank you and for the second I'll look forward to seeing you here again."

  14. 'Joshua has a great chin'

    BBC Radio 5 live

Promoter Eddie Hearn on BBC Radio 5 live: "There's a lot of hype in this sport but they delivered. There were points when I thought it was over for both fighters but Joshua came roaring back from somewhere.

"He has a great chin - we didn't know that before but we do now - and he has a heart like a lion.

"He was hit by the kitchen sink by one of the hardest hitters in the heavyweight division, and he took everything and came back to win."

  16. 'Joshua now a global star'

    BBC Radio 5 live

Promoter Eddie Hearn on BBC Radio 5 live: "To go down on the floor and then get up and beat a great champion to win one of the best heavyweight fights of all time is sensational.

"He's proved he has charisma, heart, speed and power and he will entertain not only the British public but the public around the world for years to come."

  17. 'We believed it would happen'

Anthony Joshua beats Wladimir Klitschko with an 11th-round stoppage

    BBC Radio 5 live

Joshua's trainer Rob McCracken: "He had to come back from the knockdown to regroup but he rallied and it's a testament to Anthony's ability.

"We got to four rounds to go and knew we needed every round and then by round 11 Klitschko was really slowing up. Joshua found the shots - he always does.

"There were times where he showed his inexperience but he learned and showed he isn't just a prospect. He can turn around fights and that will help him so much in his career.

"We believed it would happen in round 11 or round 12.

"He showed heart and courage. He answered a lot of questions tonight."

  20. 'The best man won'

Anthony Joshua beats Wladimir Klitschko with an 11th-round stoppage

Any talk of Anthony Joshua versus Tyson Fury may have to be shelved for a bit, as Wladimir Klitschko says he has a rematch clause to fight Joshua again.

However, the Ukrainian does add that he needs to take some time to "figure out" what happened. He is 41 and now lost his last two fights, albeit over a space of 16 months. Will we see him in a ring again?

Speaking to Sky Sports, he added:"The best man won tonight and it's a massive event for boxing.

"Two gentleman fought each other. Anthony was better today. It's really sad I didn't make it tonight. I was planning to do it, it didn't work. But all the respect to Anthony, congratulations."
