Hundreds of European travellers have been stuck in Montreal for days after their airline unexpectedly cancelled their flights home.

Spanish airline Level cancelled its Saturday and Monday flights from Montreal to Paris, citing operation reasons.

Passengers says the airline didn’t inform them about the decision and has done little to help them since then.

Hungarian resident Jessie Brillouet says she ended up booking a flight home to Budapest on another airline after being told she would have to wait until at least Thursday for another Level flight.

The airline says in a statement it’s working to rebook passengers and will refund them for their expenses.

But that’s not enough for Brillouet and some of her fellow passengers, who say they’re planning to take legal action against the airline once they finally get home.
